Okay, so hover cars and hover bikes flat-out don’t exist and probably never will using our current level of technology. Unless some new form of weird space tech is discovered, we most likely won’t see hover vehicles in our life times (no, those segways without handlebars don’t count). However, BMW has teamed up with LEGO to create a Hover Bike, based on the BMW R 1200 GS motorcycle.
Previously, the two brands teamed up to create a LEGO replica of the BMW R 1200 GS which can be bought and had by anyone who wants one. It’s an awesome LEGO set and one that my inner child wants. But the two brands took it one step further and made a design concept for a Hover Bike based on the R 1200 GS LEGO set. It can even be built using the same pieces in the standard bike set.
BMW, though, decided to go a little crazy and build a real-life replica of the R 1200 GS LEGO Hover Bike, though it obviously doesn’t actually hover. BMW employed students from the BMW Junior Company to create the Hover Bike and specialized parts had to be custom made for it, as there aren’t hover bike parts lying around in Munich.
